Sri Lanka is one of the powerful team for the cricket world and a strong contester for this world cup. Sri Lanka wins the ICC cricket world cup in the year 1996. They win against Australia by seven wickets. Arjuna Ranatunga was the captain for this team. Last world cup 2007 they lose against same opponent in the finale match by 53 runs.
This time Sri Lanka is one of the host and play there game into there home ground. Kumara Sangakkara, Tillakeratne Dilshan, Nuwan Kulasekara, Muralidaran and Ajantha Mendis are the threat for the opponents.
